Veena Ravi has been collecting these dolls for the past 20-25 years. The underwater city of Dwarka has been recreated using over 6,000 Dasara figurines at Veena Ravi's residence in Basavanagudi. "We have been gathering these dolls for two decades. Each year, we select a new theme and use the figurines to narrate a different tale from Hindu mythology. Our current theme focuses on Dwarka, the sacred city believed to have been submerged under the Arabian Sea when Lord Krishna left the world," she explains. This annual family tradition has now become a local attraction, drawing approximately 100 visitors daily throughout the Dasara festival period. The intricate preparations for the exhibition commence months in advance, with figurine arrangements beginning in August to ensure every detail is meticulously attended to.
